Bass Lake and Yosemite Family Vacay....

One of my fave things about summer is family vacations! We have had some pretty great ones that kids have enjoyed so much. This year we stayed a week  in a cabin on the lake at Bass Lake. My first time ever going here! It was such a blast! Oh so relaxing..let me just say that again Oh sooooooo reeeeelaaaaxxxing... :)
The drive up was not long at all either we stopped at a neat fruit stand and saw some cool scenery's.

We arrived with plenty of excitement and question. What will the cabin look like? Will the water be cold? When are we going fishing? What are the fireworks for the 4th going to be like? We got our answers fast, and not dissapointed.
As soon as we arrived we threw our luggage in the room ran past the pool table/game room and headed straight to our dock while my brother and niece brought in the Water Skis. Boy was this exciting. The kids were begging to get on there suits and jump in the water. We BBQ'd swam and fished till late evening.

The coolest thing I experienced on this trip was the Firework show. We rented a Pontoon boat for the week, and on the 4th we headed out when it started to get dark onto the lake with tons of other boats, and waited for the show. They were shooting off the fireworks about 500 feet in front of us on a floating platform in the lake and when the fireworks shot up they were directly above us. It was something that I think everyone should experience it was incredible!

We spent most our days taking the boat out, tubing behind it, and spending the day on it in a cove. We would BBQ Hot dogs and Brats on it (it was the easiest to cook and no one complained). We drank alot of beer and ate alot!
My favorite part about the cove was just hanging in the water for hours chatting with my sister, playing Frisbee, laughing at each other, peeing too close to one another,  listening to music and just seeing everyone in my family smiling, it was so nice to just take that view in this week.

We decided to go into Yosemite for a day. The waterfalls were AMAZING this year with all the rain and snow. Not to be missed go NOW! They literally took our breath away when up close.
We walked to Lower Yosemite Falls, and Vernon Falls which was a little less than a mile straight uphill (boy it was tough!) but we all did it! It felt great after. let me say coming down is not so easy on that steep of a hill either! The downfall of our trip here was it was soooo overcrowded, and the buses there were slammed we stood up on most of them and mind you we are a family of 14 LOL But definitely some beautiful scenery, and beautiful memories.

Fri was our last full day at Bass we took a drive to Fish Camp and took a ride on a Logger train the kids seemed to have really enjoyed it. it was cool and something Mondo has always wanted to do. That night we ate the main restaurant there Deuceys, it was yummy and don't know why we never ate there before. They have the most awesome things for kids they give them a Magna Doodle with the kids menu on the back. It was way cool! Everyone had fun writing on them. I totally forgot to take a pic too :(

I have memories and smile from  this trip to last forever. We had an amazing vacation. It could not have been better. My family plays hard together, and I love them so much! Looking forward to our next Family Vacation <3
